Chocolate Balls

17 October 2007

Ingredients used per girl:

  • 10 Biscuits
  • 1 ½ tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Crushed chocolate (Smarties and Flake)
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1tbsp coconut powder

Method:

Crush the biscuits until very fine. Combine on a plate the crushed biscuits, the cocoa powder and the crushed chocolate. Then slowly stir in the sweetened condensed milk into the mixture to form dough. (If the balls are not holding shape then you may have used too much sweetened condensed milk. Use more biscuits) Shape the mixture into balls. When the ball is finished, whoever may want to can roll it in coconut powder for added taste.

Result:

The girls were enthusiastic one week beforehand to do this session. In fact they enjoyed doing them and some of them did the second round of these chocolate .The ingredients were given one after the other and they had just to mix. But the biscuits had to be crushed by themselves. In fact they created their own way to crush them ( one plate above a plate full of biscuits and a thin rolled above them). All of the children rolled their chocolate balls in coconut. The final result as it was wished, Delicious coconut coated chocolate balls!

Improvements:

  • A washing basin should be provided in the room, so as no one has to cross and disturb other rooms.
  •
  • More plates should be provided in order to crush them in their own way.
  •
  • It is important to emphasise the fact of cleaning after the session.
