|
Method:
- Paper plate was coloured.
- The children drew the outline of their hands on a paper and coloured it in.
- The head was then drawn.
- The paper plate was cut in the middle and the edges were glued together
- The hands were attached to form a tail.
- The head was glued on last.
- This was then left to dry.
- First the girls had to cut the cardboard in a square or rectangle shape, in order to be able to fold it and form the shape of a basket.
- The sides were glued together, and an extra piece of cardboard was used to make the bottom part of the basket and a strip. Tape was used to make the basket firmer.
- The basket was covered with patterned wrapping papers in order to cover the used cardboard and the tape.
- Other decorations such as ribbons were attached to decorate the basket.

| Results
The baskets made by the group members were of different sizes and patterns. Each one of them made her own basket which will eventually be used to put craft materials and other personal belongings in it during class. The girls were all satisfied with the results.
Observations
Although the craft seemed to be quite simple, it was in fact difficult to manage to shape the cardboard alone. Therefore, the members of the group had to collaborate and help each other in order to accomplish their goal. This was a positive move toward team building.
Possible suggestions
More different patterned wrapping papers to be provided, so as to have more options to choose from. More patterns with cartoon characters since these seem to be more popular with the members of the group.
